DEPA COMMERCIAL S.A
DEPA Commercial is a modern and competitive company, with a dynamic presence in the energy sector and a substantial contribution to the growth of the Greek economy. Through its participation in major international infrastructure projects, such as the FSRU Alexandroupolis, DEPA Commercial enhances security of supply for the country with competitive terms and promotes Greece as an international energy hub.
DEPA Commercial systematically invests in the development of innovative technology and independent projects in alternative and cleaner fuels. Preparing for the new era of "clean" energy, the company has dynamically entered the RES sector and looks into other alternative means of energy production, such as hydrogen and biomethane, two fuels with a neutral environmental footprint.
In particular, the Company is looking to lead the introduction of LNG as a marine fuel in Greece and the broader region. Towards this goal, it is involved as coordinator of the European co-financed projects "Poseidon Med II" and "BlueHUBS" and also participates in the "SuperGreen" Action. While "Poseidon Med II" promoted the regulatory, financial, and technical work required to implement LNG as a marine fuel, with the "BlueHUBS" Action, the company is launching the construction of Greece’s first LNG bunkering vessel. Moreover, it has acquired two (2) LNG semi-trailers for LNG refueling with co-funding from the “SuperGreen” Action primarily for the supply of transport in the maritime sector.
With its extensive commercial activity, DEPA Commercial is focused on meeting the diverse needs of its customers by providing natural gas for households, industrial consumers, generators as well as fuel for gas-powered vehicles.
NAVIGAS LTD
Founded in 2009, Navigas is part of the Fameline Holding Group (FHG). FHG is a group of companies with international operations in a number of industries, primarily in the maritime, satellite communication and oil and gas industries with growing interest in the healthcare and ICT industries.
Working closely with industry leaders, Navigas is exploring industry developments on shipping decarbonization. As one of the beneficiaries of the EU Funded "BlueHubs" Action, Navigas is at the forefront of the developments for establishing the supply chain for the distribution of LNG for vessels and LNG/CNG for port heavy duty vehicles and buses, including bunkering and refuelling facilities. Navigas is currently working on the construction of an LNG Bunkering Vessel (indicative capacity 4,000 m³) serving the purposes of bunkering LNG fuelled vessels as well as small-scale mobile LCNG stations for inland distribution of LNG/CNG.
Navigas aims to contribute in the wide adoption of LNG as a safe, environmentally efficient and viable alternative fuel for shipping and help the East Mediterranean marine transportation propel towards a low-carbon future.
